Memories

I almost hesitate to do it, but I'll play along with this one:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together, or one of the first memories you have of me. (please do the same for Heather)
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

Well for most of my childhood that I can remember...we didn't live together much. You went to college when I was like 7 or 8...so I don't remember it all. I do remember when you and mom rushed me to an oral surgeon because Scott almost killed me. I remember the endless "tickle tortures", you and the others flinging me across the living room with your feet. I still don't understand why it was so amusing for you guys. I remember the dreaded socks in the mouth…that's was great. On a happier note I remember when you took me to Dave Matthews. I thought it was pretty cool that you invited me instead of someone else.

Well, I had a lot of fun shopping with Heather and Kirsta. It was nice to talk to Heather on the way back after Nate picked Kirsta up. Heather is always good for a nice chat. I also remember that after our wedding, my mom asked me about her because they talked for a while waiting outside the temple for us. She told me she thought Heather was beautiful and she was very sweet. I don't think I ever told Heather that, but my mom still asks me how she is doing.

As for Caleb, it would have to be Rockband. Thanks to you, we now have it, along with the Wii and other Wii accessories.

With Caleb I'd have to agree that Rockband has provided some great memories—I gotta have more cowbell! And as for Heather, we've had some nice talks over the years about kids and books and poetry.

I'm pondering...

Ok, I really didn't ponder enough, but I'm going to type and go with the flow here. Yes Caleb, I remember how you and I used to tell people I was adopted, but I'm pretty sure the story was that I was adopted from Japan and my mom was an American Ninja that couldn't keep me. Ha. Remember back in the ol' Missouri days when you and Jared Moore thought you were the bomb-diggadees? You used to dance and sing and write songs and stuff. I used to listen in on your phone calls with janae gorham and even though I probably drove you crazy, I was just anxious to get to do all of the things I saw you do. Well, except for that time that dad threw you up against the bathroom wall in Spfld. I didn't want to be you then. Or when you snuck out and got caught while the McGees were watching us. I didn't want to be you then either. I learned a lot from your mistakes. I guess that's why I was the child that didn't really have a strict curfew and could do whatever I pretty much wanted without a whole lot of fuss...the padres trusted me because I learned, from your moron mistakes, how to get them on my side. Ha! Good times.

Heather...I remember the first time I met you, you were talking on Jean's phone to your boyfriend and I thought...wow...your on vacation, give it up. Ha! Little did I know you would end up marrying my brother later on. Though I was a little unsure of you at first, you have won me over. I used to love to come and steal your children away and would laugh that you would get so excited about it. now that I'm a mom, I wish someone would steal my kids from me too. Ha! I really enjoyed our scrapbooking fest when we scrapbooked disneyland. We need to go again so we have something to scrapbook. You were also such a lifesaver for Scott and I when we had Mason. It was so comforting to know that he was taken care of so well by you. It gave us peace of mind. No wonder he still loves coming to visit you and your kids. He loves you all the most.

Ok...how did I do? Did I win for the longest comments? We shall see...
