All I Want for Christmas...

Over the period of just a few weeks Bryant went from having all his teeth to missing his two front teeth. We managed to catch the stages on film.

July 26th we got a shot of the lovely snaggle tooth. When they get to this stage I just want to grab those teeth and yank them out myself. It's cute, but not so cute at the same time. ;-)

July 31st I managed to convince him to let me pull one tooth.

August 6th I finally managed to get that other tooth out. You can see the new teeth already coming through. Yay, no more snaggle tooth.

Our two toothless wonders. (Well, Kaylee's are half in, but I still think it's a cute shot.)

Bath Time

Like all my other kids Brooklyn absolutely loves bath time. Some nights when she is really fussy that's the only thing that will calm her down. These pictures were taken when she was two days shy of being one month old.

There's that curl again. Did I mention how much I love it?!!

Sara likes to help me squeeze water over Brooklyn and Caleb shot this picture too. I just had to include it also. Such a cute picture of Sara, who loves helping with the baby and giving her hugs and kisses.

Bryant's Birthday

I can't believe our boy is seven years old. Time sure does fly. We were lucky enough to have my brother, Joseph, and his family in town from North Carolina to share in the celebration. Bryant chose a chocolate cake with his name done in M&M's. Sara wanted to help with the M&M's so it's hard to tell that the cake reads, "Bryant 7 yrs". The kids all wanted the piece with the most M&M's. ;-)

One breath was all it took. I guess his wish comes true.

Of course, there has to be a Star Wars something in the mix. :-D

Bryant is such an amazing 7 year old! He loves to read, do puzzles, play with his guys, and play video games. He also loves his baby sister. She gets the ONLY kisses he freely gives. ;) He has grown so much this year and has become such a helpful boy. He is always asking questions about processes and what things do. He is very smart and really good at figuring out how things work. He likes to be helpful, especially with keeping Brooklyn happy. She loves when he reads stories to her. Sara also likes to play guys with him. He is very good at explaining what each guy does and she calls every guy a "bad guy" now. He and Kaylee pretend play a lot with his costumes and toy weapons. He tries to get a long with his siblings, although he and Rachel butt heads a lot. He is very good at sharing his treats with everyone too.

We are so proud of him, and are very grateful that he is a part of our family. Thanks, Bryant, for being you, and trying so hard to be good and do what's right. We love you! (Even if you just "like" us, ;) sweet boy.) We hope you have a great year. Birth

Brooklyn's Two Week Check Up

Before I get into her two week check up I have to show off some of Bryant's creativity. He made this shield all by himself. I think he got the idea from something in the Friend magazine and decided it was something he could do. He even put a handle on the back for him to hold it properly. He made a knife to go with it too but somehow I didn't get a picture of that one. That's pretty darn impressive for my boy who hardly ever colors.

Yes, July was a busy month for my boy. He also made this apartment building for his Lego guys. He was so excited to show it off when he finished. He told me that each of them has their own TV. He still has this built and set up in his room. In fact, the other day when we were leaving the house for a bit he got in the van and said, "Mom, I told my Lego guys they couldn't watch TV while we are gone, and I told them to watch over my room." I got a good laugh out of that one.

See, here they are watching their own TV's. :-)

Here's Brooklyn a few days shy of two weeks. At her two week check up they confirmed that she was tongue tied and they clipped the skin under her tongue. She screamed the most when we started holding her still so he could cut the right thing, but after he clipped it and we let go she pretty much stopped crying. I felt so bad for her, but it was fun to see her actually stick her tongue out and realize that I hadn't seen her do that yet.
At two weeks she weighed 8lbs 4oz and was 21in long. Such a relief at that stage to know they are growing.

Brooklyn's Blessing

The day after Kaylee's baptism we had Brooklyn's blessing. Since we had family in town already for the baptism we decided to go ahead and bless Brooklyn too. Once again we had a great turn out. Most everyone was able to come both days, including all of Caleb's siblings, my sister Michele, my brother, Paul, and his family, both of our parents, several grandparents, and several aunts. We certainly had a full house and we loved it!

Her eyes are still a little bloodshot from the delivery, but look at that curl in her hair. I love it!

Here's our family shot with our beautiful new baby girl. We truly are blessed.

Caleb was again fortunate enough to bless her and give her her name, Brooklyn Opal Silvey.

Granny (Tia), our seamstress once again. She has had a busy month. ;-) Thanks so much!

We were so glad to have my parents with us too for this special weekend in our lives.

Kaylee's Baptism

One week after Brooklyn was born we had our crazy weekend. Kaylee's baptism kicked off our weekend on July 2nd. We are so proud of her for her decision. She is such a sweet girl with a tender heart. It is fun watching her as she learns to feel the promptings of the Holy Ghost and try to choose the right. I know our Heavenly Father is proud of her for who she is and who she is trying to become. I hope she knows how much her Mom and Dad love her and how happy we are that she is a special part of our family.

These first pictures are some that Caleb took to display on her special day.

That's our cute Kaylee Bug!

We had quite the turnout for her baptism. It was nice that so many were able to come and show their love for her.
Kaylee was excited to be baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by her father.

Granny Silvey is our wonderful seamstress. She has been so amazing in making all the blessing and baptism outfits thus far. What a special memory she has given her grand kids.

Our family, with the beautiful baptism girl front and center. We love you, Kaylee

We were also blessed that my parents were able to come from South Carolina, but somehow didn't get that picture. (Once again, if anyone got that or other great pictures please send them our way. Thanks.)

Everyone's Excited to Finally hold Brooklyn

The day after we brought Brooklyn home from the hospital Tia brought our kids home. They all came rushing in to hold Brooklyn. Everyone had to have their turn.

Mason came with them and was privileged to be the first cousin to hold her.

Tia/Granny holding her 12th grand-kid.

Sara gets to be a big sister now. Look at that smile!

This is the sweet spot for Granny's kisses.

Kaylee Bug is so excited to have a baby in the house.

Rachel's not sure how excited to be as she gets closer to babysitting age. ;-)

Bryant has decided he is excited, even if it is ANOTHER girl.
